The Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), Ingrid I. Rivera Rocafort, announced a new direct flight between Fort Lauderdale and Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla. The daily flights will begin on May 5, 2016, through Jet Blue airlines.
“This new affordable flight offers tourists from all parts of the United States, the opportunity to experience the beauty in the Porta del Sol region. This new route also expands the opportunities for Puerto Ricans of the diaspora to explore their roots and families,” said Rivera Rocafort.
The new flight, with a capacity of 190 passengers, will be an addition to the existing Jet Blue flights. To date, the company is the leading airline in the Caribbean and Latin America with 145 daily departures to the region. To celebrate the launch of this new route, the company is offering introductory fares starting at $59 each way for flights from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood to Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla.
